In September of 2021 Joji Hattori’s first culinary work in collaboration with chef Alois Traint was published by Pichler Verlag. We were responsible for concept, layout and the food photography in Austria as well as the documentary photography on location in Japan. In his book, titled “The Art of SHIKI”, the restaurateur, musician and entrepreneur gives personal insights into the diversity of Japanese cuisine: From simple, everyday recipes to dishes from Hattori’s own restaurant – the Michelin-starred Shiki in downtown Vienna, Austria.
